We Offer The Following Tour:

11 Day Package (9 Days of Trekking)

This trek offers the most popular duration (9 full days of trekking). We feel it provides the best opportunity for

Option for Shorter Duration Trekking

While most people enjoy some free time to wander and explore in the villages where we stop, we understand that time might be a factor for some people. This being said, if you can only manage a trek of a shorter duration please contact us and we would be happy to put a custom trek together for you.

Pricing is in effect for tours through 2023. For departures beyond 2023, please contact us for trek dates and pricing.

We allocate a 1:1 trekker to porter ratio to promote a strong bond between your porter and yourself.   Our goal for each trek is to not only ensure that all trekkers safely complete their journey from beginning to end, but also to promote solid relationships between trekkers and porters.  This relationship becomes one of the most memorable experiences of the trip and is reminiscent of the wartime bonds that were established during the war between the Australian troops and the Fuzzy Wuzzy Angels.

All of our expeditions start with a group meeting the evening before the start of the trek at the hotel.  This is where you will have the opportunity to meet your fellow trekkers and for your IKA guide to provide last minute details about the trip.  Please have your insurance documentation available for this meeting.  On the morning of the second day, we have a short drive to the PNG domestic airport where we will board a small plane that will take us to the start of the trek at Kokoda.

All packages include your arrival transfers, 2 nights accommodations in Port Moresby, (pre and post trek), pre-trek briefing, air transport to the starting point of the trek, dedicated porter, tour leaders, additional group porters, guides and historians, trek permits, and accommodation, breakfast/lunch/dinner while on the trek.

Not included: international flights/taxes, transfers to and from the airport in your departure city, visas, pre and post-trekking meals, travel and medical insurance, gratuities, optional tours/activities during your free time and personal spending.
